Passports reach DPP Backup through the API, as structured JSON export files or by scheduled collection via EN 18222.
Every version kept
Each published version is stored with its date, next to the earlier ones.
Checked against the original
Each copy is checked when it arrives and again at regular intervals.
Access levels kept
Public and restricted data are copied with their access levels. Restricted data stays restricted.
Ready if the original goes offline
The copy can be made available in place of the original, so printed QR codes keep working.
Full export at any time
Every passport and version can be exported at any time, as JSON and in the EN 18223 format.
